The team at Innovate<her> are on a mission to redress the gender imbalance in tech. Their aim is to wotk with girls in schools to tackle inequality, improve young people's life chances and help the UK compete on the world stage. Their programme at Westleigh is led by Sue Irving, a UX designer at the BBC who is also winner of teh 2017 #HackManCity challenge and founder of Ladies Who UX Liverpool. The eight week course takes place after school and will include a trip to Alder Hey Children's Hospital to see how technology is being used in the health industry.
