On the afternoon of Friday, April 19th, 2024, we were fortunate to embark on a visit to Leigh Fire Station, where we were graciously welcomed and given an enlightening tour of their vehicles, equipment, and training facilities. The dedicated staff not only provided us with valuable insights but also shared poignant anecdotes, offering detailed guidance on the process and motivations behind joining the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.

The experience proved to be both enriching and inspiring for our students, providing them with a first hand glimpse into the noble profession of firefighting. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to revisit Leigh Fire Station in the future, as our journey towards understanding and appreciation continues to unfold.
