Our year 10 students have done us proud this year by completing a mentoring project with year 4 pupils from Westleigh St Paul’s Primary School. 16 students in total have taken part in the project, which has involved listening to and supporting younger children with reading.

All the students chosen have shown a dedicated and caring attitude, and we have had lots of fun too along the way! The project culminated in 3 students visiting a prize giving assembly, where they have represented the school by giving out prizes, certificates and the odd ‘high five!’ to the children involved.

After speaking to the Y4 class teacher, Mrs Langlois, it is clear that all the children have enjoyed the sessions, and have found them extremely worthwhile. We hope to continue the project next academic year. Well done to all!
