WeFest

Our annual Westleigh Edge Enrichment Week (WeFest) takes place in July, providing Key Stage 3 students with an exciting programme of experiences beyond the classroom. During the week, Year 10 students undertake work experience placements as part of The Westleigh Edge programme.

Designed to inspire students, develop new skills, broaden horizons and create lasting memories, WeFest offers a high-quality programme of enrichment activities carefully planned to support learning, personal development and a wide range of interests.

Throughout the week, students in Years 7, 8 and 9 take part in a varied programme that includes educational visits, STEM challenges, community and charity projects, leadership opportunities and team-based competitions. Each year group experiences all of these key activities, ensuring that every student benefits from a balanced and engaging week. Activities are delivered by subject departments and provide opportunities to explore new areas of learning, build confidence and develop valuable personal and social skills.

The week culminates in a whole-school celebration on Friday, featuring Sports Day, outdoor games, an open-air concert, a summer fayre and a host of other activities. It is a chance for students to showcase their achievements, celebrate with their peers and reflect on the experiences they have enjoyed throughout the week.

WeFest reflects our commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for students to develop confidence, resilience, leadership, teamwork and a strong sense of community. By combining learning with memorable and enjoyable experiences, the week brings The Westleigh Edge to life and ensures every student has the opportunity to finish the academic year feeling inspired, accomplished and ready for what comes next.
