NCS will be holding an assembly for Year 11 on 26 November to let students know about the opportunities available to them in the summer of 2019. Find out more here:-

NCS (National Citizen Service) is the country’s fastest growing youth movement. It’s a government-backed programme created to enrich, challenge and empower all young people.

The programme has 4 Phases and runs over the summer holidays:

A 5-day residential trip, with adrenaline-fuelled activities like rock climbing, canoeing, and archer, while making new friends along the way.

A taste of independent living at university halls, while learning essential life skills from local businesses and charities. Plus gain confidence in public speaking, communication skills and budgeting. It all looks great on your CV.

It’s time to make your mark. With your team, devise a social action project on an issue that you feel passionate about.

It’s time to celebrate your NCS experience, but it doesn’t have to stop there. Our graduates have plenty of opportunities to keep getting involved and making a difference!

Each place is worth £1500, but you’ll never pay more than £50 for the whole experience. There are bursaries available, so everyone can experience the summer of a lifetime.
